HEAD CHEFMrs. SzabatHi! My name is Mrs. Szabat and I am the Introduction to Culinary Arts instructor at Paulding County High School. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I grew up and lived up till 2017. I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science and Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies. I taught in Altoona, PA for 7 years as a Family and Consumer Science teacher for 7th and 9th graders. I have my Masters of Education in Teacher Leadership from Pennsylvania State University (Go PSU!) and currently working on my Doctorate at Walden University. After moving to Georgia I worked in Cobb County for one year before I decided to make the move to PCHS.
My husband and our kids moved to Georgia in July 2017 and reside in Dallas. My husband and I met in high school and married shortly after graduating college. We have two children, Rosalie who is 6 and Ryan is 4. Our home is not complete without Einstein and Toodles the cats and Diesel our Labrador Puppy. I look forward to working with you as you begin your journey through the Culinary Arts Pathway. |

Lyric Ford is the November/December Student of the Month
Lyric has really shown improvement in the second half of the semester. He worked hard to bring his grades up and continued to show that he wanted to do well. This earned him the spot of student of the month because not many students would have taken the effort to do what had to be done to make sure they passed the class. Congratulations on a job well done, Lyric! |
Mycah Kelley is the October Student of the Month.
Mycah is a hardworking student who strives to do his very best. He is attentive to what is going on and very pleasant to talk to. He also helps out whenever is needed and always volunteers even if when he is not the one who has made the mess. Congratulations to Mycah for a job well done! |
Isabella Petty is the September Student of the Month.
Bella is always the first one to volunteer in class for anything. She also goes above and beyond to make sure supplies are picked up and put away. Most of the time she is doing this without being asked. Bella is a kind sweet student who any teacher would be lucky to have. Congratulations Bella for a job well done! |
Marissa Yim is the August Student of the Month.
